Sr System Engineer with TS/SCI & FS Polygraph

Job Category:Systems Primary Location:USA-MD: MARYLAND-FT MEADESchedule:Full-time Job Type:Standard Employee Status:RegularJob Posting: 2008-08-11Description: SIGINT Experience: A minimum of 8 years of direct experience with an intelligence community or signals intelligence activity with intercept collection Practical experience evidenced in the following: C, C++, JAVA, Perl, Shell Scripting (candidate will be writing and troubleshooting code) Application layer protocols, need specifics (must have for this position) Transport Layer protocols, need specifics (must have for this position) System Engineering discipline Linux operating system (must have for this position) Cisco routers and switches Designing complex collection systems Program debugging Integrating systems using Linux operating system Performing system validation and verification System performance analysis Ability to objectively assess architectural limitations or shortcomings in such areas as scaling, speed, and throughput Solid understanding of applicable commercial technologies, including hardware acceleration, and commercial best practices, as they relate to the specific demands of high-speed SIGINT processing. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in engineering, documenting, integrating and testing operational SIGINT systems. Minimum Requirements BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or other technical discipline. Nine or more years of direct experience with an intelligence community or signals intelligence capability with an emphasis on collection, processing, and exploitation and in a technical role in projects and programs, with at least five in a senior leadership role. Nine or more years experience as a Systems Engineer supporting programs to develop and field large-scale systems to include experience in system architecture, requirements analysis, system documentation, system evaluation, and process execution and evaluation. Experience in full system life cycle from concept development through testing and deployment The candidate must have demonstrated ability to write system engineering documentation and be able to deliver technical presentation to large audiences. Samples of writing ability may be required. The candidate must be results-oriented, self-motivated and an effective communicator. Must work well as a member of a small team.
