Description:Responsible for the acquisition, installation, operations, maintenance and usage of a multi-user computer system, including local area networks. Installs workstation hardware and peripheral components. Operating systems may include UNIX, NT, SQL, Sun, Windows, etc. Loads and verifies correct operation of the operating systems and the various subcomponents (login/domain accounts, file access rights, establishing DNS and email servers and developing various software scripts to enhance productivity); backs up systems.
