Sr. Software Engineer (.Net) RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, code, and implement presentation and business-layer infrastructure using technologies and skills including Visual Studio 2008, ASP.NET, C#, AJAX, PL-SQL, Team Foundation Server, OOP/OOD, UML, ORM. Actively interface with business partners and engineering team members to analyze, develop, and document functional and technical specifications. Lead projects, utilizing solid communication and time-management skills, coordinating resources to ensure successful implementation. Collaborate with other technical and business leaders to build our next generation Pension products. Work with business partners and other engineers to design software solutions for business problems; create design documents; develop software programs and perform unit testing; and provide technical product support of the company's production applications. Lead other engineers in the design and development of high-quality business applications; and work with architect, DBAs, and other engineers to create application architecture to support multiple applications. EXPERIENCE: 7-10 years programming experience. 6+ years with relational databases. 4+ years experience in .NET development environment with C#. Strong experience with Web UI design with ASP.NET, C#, XML and AJAX. Full life cycle expertise. Strong understanding of Data Modeling, Object Oriented Design, and Object Relational mapping. Working knowledge of XML, Schema, SOAP and WebServices. Experience with Oracle 10g would be a huge plus. Strong knowledge of multi-tier web applications, databases, and concerns such as performance, availability and scalability. Experience with Agile development processes is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive UI or middleware in .Net/Microsoft environment. Must thrive in a fast-paced collaborative team environment. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Pension, mutual fund, financial services, human resources or administration application development experience. ASP/on-demand software experience. M.S. in CS or related degree.
