Sr. Software Engineer - Cognos

Senior Software Engineer in the Enterprise Application Services Division to provide technical leadership in defining design & coding standards, performance tuning, and management of user requests for break/fix or enhancement changes. Job includes specifying, designing, coding, peer reviewing, and unit testing Cognos reports, dashboards, and framework as well as managing the incident ticket queues for break/fix and enhancements including analysis of problems, customer support, and resolution of production incidents. Primary responsibilities include analyzing and troubleshooting production issues, defining and enforcing design and coding standards, developing reports, dashboards, and framework, and providing customer support for new reports as necessary. This position requires that the candidate be technically and architecturally capable to communicate with users, sponsors, and a geographically dispersed team including offshore India. The position requires a firm understanding of Cognos report, framework, and dashboard software development using Oracle 10g data sources including Deltek Cognos and T&E schema. Qualified applicants will have experience with systems development lifecycle, change control as well as the ability to work in a team environment with excellent oral and written communication skills. Skills/Education Required: Bachelor�s Degree in related technical field or equivalent work experience and 7+ years of experience.
