xScion Solutions, LLC is a leading IT professional services firm in the Washington, DC area supporting firms with their consulting and permanent hiring needs. We are currently supporting a large healthcare insurance company with some of their key hiring needs and are looking for a Senior SQA Automation Engineer.
NOTE: Candidates must be local to the Washington, DC area and have US work authorization - US Citizenship, Green Card or EAD. The client is not sponsoring for H-1B visas at this time.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The SQA Automation Engineer will be responsible for development of functional/regression automated testing solutions using HP/Mercury tools and technologies focused on Quality Center (QC). QC includes QuickTest Professional (QTP), TestDirector, and Business Process Testing (BPT) which is an important part of QTP.
Design and script modular and reusable automated testing solutions that satisfy testing requirements.Develop functional/regression automated testing solutions using QTP/BPT, traditional QTP, and/or data driven techniques.Develop/enhance and document automated testing methodology.Write test scripts that are reusable and easily maintained.Develop detailed documentation to support the automation effort.Execute test script, report detailed defects description through defect tracking tool. Continually review and improve testing process and implementation.
This position is also subject to being "on call" for emergency situations requiring immediate resolution. Travel between all Washington, D.C.and Owings Mills, MD may sometimes be required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: 3 years QuickTest Pro automation experience 5 years VBScript or equivalent programming. 1 year using Quality Center and/or Quality Center project/site administration. Understanding of testing and development life cycle methodologies Experience with the following tools Mercury Quality Center (TestDirector, QuickTest Pro, Business Process Testing)
DESIRED SKILLS: Experience/Certification: QuickTest Pro and Quality Center Certified Product Consultant (CPC). Experience with Mercury Performance Center (LoadRunner)
