Sr. Project Manager/ PMP Certified/Peoplesoft HR upgrade
Trigyn has an exciting opportunity for a contractor to work for The Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Boston. Client will be upgrading their PeopleSoft/Oracle HR/CMS 8.0 Application for Time and Labor, Personnel Transactions, and Payroll to Release 9.1 and are looking for a Senior Project Manager who will manage the upgrade project to a successful conclusion.
Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as the overall senior level manager and driving catalyst for the project to ensure that project deadlines and deliverables are being achieved on time. Develop and maintain a detail project/implementation plan including expanding current HRIS functionality.Leverage technology to better utilize our HR and payroll resourcesBe responsible for the budget of the project to ensure that the project comes in at, or under budget.Lead the HR/CMS Project team that will be staffed primarily by HRD, OSC, ITD & contract employees, developing a cohesive team that will build the necessary forward momentum to achieve the goals and objectives of the project.Manage and balance the competing interests of the project’s different stakeholders (HRD, ITD, OSC, State Treasurer’s Office, GIC, Higher Ed, and the Judiciary). Have excellent communication skills in order to keep all of the stakeholders informed as to the project status.Ensure that the technical team is effectively interacting with the functional team Ensure that the training/change management staff is engaged on the project at the appropriate time to be able to learn the new system, develop and deliver training in a timely fashion.Be the primary contact for the department heads of HRD, OSC, and ITD (HR/CMS Executive Management Team) to receive project updates and status reports.Make monthly presentations of project status to the HR/CMS Executive Committee.Facilitate Fit-gap sessions with the project teamReview weekly status reports and schedule weekly project team meetings Coordinate participation from Commonwealth agencies as required during the engagement. Identify and communicate all risks to the project Steering Committee.Coordinate the Project¡’s review of the deliverables and obtain appropriate signature to signify acceptance for each accepted deliverable. Ability to communicate effectively using Microsoft Office suite of Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and effective interpersonal skillsFacilitate meetings, presentations & product demos as necessary
Qualifications:Must have 5+ years PM experience, PMI Certification is a plus.Must have 5+ years experience in Human Resources Management SystemsMust have 5+ years experience in Change ManagementMust have a minimum of 5 years PeopleSoft Time and Labor, HR, and Payroll experience. At least 1 year of which is with version 9.0 or 9.1 Should have demonstrated experience/proven track record in conducting at least one PeopleSoft upgrade version 9.1 from beginning to end, bringing the project in on schedule and on budget. Must be technically proficient with PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Upgrade Manager, SQR, and SQL. (Preferred)
