Job Description:
This position is working directly for LCG Systems in support of an NIH client. The position will be part of a team designed for quick, efficient development of web and database applications using Microsoft development tools.
The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with all organizational levels. Must be able to work on multiple projects/priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Must be able to remain calm in pressure situations and adapt quickly to change. Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer-service focus and attitude at all times
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of web application development experience with excellent understanding of web technologies and tools (including HTML, HTTP, JavaScript, CSS, browsers for Mac & PC) to create, design and develop Web pages. Excellent understanding of object-oriented concepts and Microsoft .NET technologies is required. This experience will include dynamic page generation using ASP.Net as well as database access for dynamic content.
· The successful candidate must have at least 4 years of experience in web application development using the Microsoft Visual Studio .Net development environment to develop web based intranet/extranet/internet types of applications
· Creative in GUI design and development of web applications.
· Skill requirements include knowledge of Visual Studio .NET 2003 or higher, ASP.NET 1.1 or higher, C#, Java, Ajax, XML, Internet Information Server, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or higher.
· Excellent and verifiable coding skills
· Excellent and demonstrable understanding of Microsoft SQL Server Database. Must have working knowledge in using and writing stored procedures, functions, querying using T-SQL.
· Must be well versed with ASP Classic and .Net/ASPX development.
· Experience in Ajax experience.
· Must have strong site navigation and web design skills.
· Understanding of Section 508 compliance requirements and web formatted graphics is required.
· Must be a hands-on web application developer versed in web technologies and tools (including HTML, HTTP, CSS, browsers for Mac and PC) to create, design and develop web pages.
· Experienced in creating n-tier architecture based applications, writing user controls, and web controls.
· Experience with JSP and web searching technology.
· Strong knowledge of Windows architecture, deployment considerations, and structured development methodologies.
· Demonstrated ability to employ industry best practices toward development process, documentation and SDLC is required.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Source Safe a plus.
· Must work well as a member of a team as well as independently.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Must be adaptable and willing to take on other duties as assigned
· Once hired, the ability to obtain a public trust clearance is also required.
· National Institutes of Health (NIH) experience is a plus
· Candidate must be able to access or bring samples of previous work
Daily Responsibilities
· Create, design and develop dynamic web and database applications for clinical research and data management.
· Provide testing and maintenance support on the existing and newly developed applications.
· Convert user requirements into application designs.
· Provide graphical design and develop prototypes for review.
· Other projects as assigned.
