Sr Manager Database Marketing

Fortune 50 company seeks a talented database marketing professional




This individual is responsible for the development, analysis, and management of marketing information databases and systems that will capture and house customer, prospect, and channel partner data. Through data analysis, provide strategic opportunities and directions used to support the creation and implementation of strategic marketing, promotions, and communications programs to increase revenue and improve relationship with target segment.


Excellent analytical skills with strong orientation/drive towards overall business and marketing goals, supervisory and leadership skills required as well as the ability to interface with all areas of the organization including executive, sales, marketing, finance, and technical teams.

Job Functions.

1. Develop and maintain customer marketing database, prospect marketing database, and channel partners database. Evaluate and implement internal and external data overlay to enhance database value and integrity.
2. Develop, implement, and monitor predictive models for new account acquisition, profitability, segmentation, retention, activation, and extension.
3. Recommend strategic opportunities and directions to support the creation and implementation of marketing, promotions, and communications programs.
4. Develop and manage comprehensive framework for producing and delivering meaningful management reports.
5. Maintain current quantitative and analytical techniques to assure best methodologies are employed.
6. Select and manage vendors necessary for the development and implementation of database marketing projects.



Primary Qualifications

A minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in database marketing and information analysis with at least five (5) years in or supporting direct response marketing

· Direct experience in the development and management of marketing database systems.

· Strong statistical analysis background. Proficient in current analytical techniques and systems.

· Ability to analyze and develop marketing strategies as a result of data analysis. Communicate result of analysis in both technical and business/marketing terms.

· Extensive knowledge of direct response, lists, and closed loop-marketing strategies.

· Demonstrated ability to be accountable for projects from conception to implementation. Experience in working with, or as part of, field sales and channel organizations.

· Prior budget management responsibilities, ROI accountability, basic finance skills.

· Entrepreneurial drive and strong work ethic, with attention to detail. Excellent written & verbal communications skills.

· Bachelor of Science required. MBA preferred.
