We are seeking a Sr. Java Developer for a great contract position in the South West Metro (Twin Cities) area. This is a contracting opportunity, so candidates should be interested in W2 hourly (employees contracting, paid based upon hours billed, generally 40 hours per week) or Independents with S-Corps or LLCs

 

Summary:

 

This individual will work with functional architects and team members on design and implementation of customized, complex programs and software solutions in a multi-platform distributed environment. Consults with IS and Business management to evaluate complex user requests and clarify objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs.

 

Qualifications:College degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience with 6-8 years experience in applications programmingSr. skills in J2EE application design and development.Strong OO development background;  Strong knowledge of Java solutions and distributed application architecturesStrong experience with MQ Series and a good understanding of web services.Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL language and database tool-sets.Skills in the following technologies (all a plus):  J2EE development, WSED / Eclipse IDE, Websphere Application Server, Spring, Hibernate, MQ, JMS, XML, XSLT, CVS
