 Job Overview:

The Sr. Database Analyst is responsible at a high level for the programming and development of direct marketing initiatives through tasks such as, database design, generating campaign files, performing detailed data analysis, ad-hoc reports through SAS and Microsoft Excel.  This position acts as a contact point for information on all Intellidyn data sources.  The Sr. Database Analyst is also responsible for the design and development of new features and functionality for products and services delivered as well as data segmentation, model scoring, performance metrics and all profiling efforts. This position will be responsible for mentoring and tutoring assigned Jr. & Mid-Level Database Analysts, overseeing their work product and assisting in annual reviews. Proficiency in SAS programming, excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong leadership and problem solving skills are required for the successful Sr. Database Analyst. This position reports to the VP of Data Strategy.

 

Minimum Requirements:

¾  BS in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent

¾  Prior Management experience

¾  Direct Marketing experience

¾  2-4 years of work experience using both the data step and macro facility of SAS

¾  Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products

¾  Familiar with the UNIX environment

¾  Ability to convey complex results and issues both verbally and in writing to non-technical audience

¾  Self motivated, Proactive, Needs minimum supervision

¾  Detail oriented, well organized and ability to multi-task

¾  Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

¾  Excellent written and verbal skills, strong leadership skills, team player

 

Desired Skills / Experience:

¾  SAS BI Suite

¾  SAS SPDS environment

¾  Dataflux Data Quality Suite

¾  UNIX scripting/programming environment

¾  C, C++, C#, JAVA or any other Object oriented Programming language

¾  1 year work experience with SQL
