Calence/Insight is currently looking for a Network Engineer to join our Managed Services Organization. In this role you will have the opportunity to provide project management and engineering services to Calence’s Managed Services clients. Specifically, you will provide 2nd level support for the 1st level operations function. The successful candidate will be integral developing and fostering a trustful partnership between Calence and our clients.High Level Activities Include: Analysis, design, implementation and project management for client projects and new client implementations Managing adds, moves, changes performed by 1st level (direct revenue) Primary CMS (Calence Managed Services) person responsible for management and engineering activities for CMS clients Activities include performance analysis, engineering recommendation development, and maintenance activities Providing 2nd level operational support (e.g., informal training, mentoring, pager-support, troubleshooting, etc.) Training for Calence new hires, 1st level operations and peer 2nd level engineers Provide project management and network design/implementation services for client projects Provide second level support for operations engineers (24 x 7) and client engineers (e.g., Ad hoc requests) Provide engineering analysis of client network performance and develop recommendations Review analysis and recommendations with clients Performs/manages engineering maintenance activities for client networks (e.g., circuit upgrades, new site installs, adds/moves/changes, etc) Provides on-going design recommendations for Management Services clients Coaches and mentors analysts Provides network review, enhancement and integration activities for new CMS clients Provides coaching, training and mentoring for Network Analysts and Network Technicians and Calence new hires Assists with developing CMS engineering policies and standards Performs the research and development required for the implementation of new devices and technologies Education and Experiential Requirements: BS/BA preferred Technical degree (e.g., Engineering, MIS, CIS etc.) preferred CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) preferred CCNP (Cisco Certified Networking Professional) preferred 2-4 years business, consulting or technology-related work experience Calence / Insight Networking Solutions values each person’s unique contributions, irrespective of age, gender, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, disability or religious beliefs and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
