Solution Architect / Business Intelligence Consultant
RiverPoint Group is seeking a Solution Architect /Business Intelligence Consultant
Responsible for defining analytical solutions that meet our clients’ needs and then designing, implementing, and testing these Business Intelligence solutions based on Microsoft technologies. Our Consultants must have strong analytical, communication, client management, and requirements definition skills, as well as the ability to concisely and clearly document and present findings to various audiences.
Ideally, the candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a bachelor’s degree plus equivalent industry experience
• Minimum 5 years experience working with BI solutions using the Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence Platform, including
o Extensive SQL RDBMS experience, including normalized and dimensional Database Design and Performance Tuning
o Creating of Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
o Experience working with Analysis Services (SSAS) and adding calculations using MDX
o Experience working with presentation tools such as Reporting Services (SSRS)
o Strong skills in the Business Dimensional lifecycle (Kimball Methodology) and Corporate Performance Management.
This position definitely requires skills with Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence Platform, but we ge will consider motivated candidates with strong skills in these competitive or related technologies:
o ab Initio, Alphabox, Applix, Brio, BusinessObjects, Cognos BI / Cognos Powerplay, Comshare, Crystal Analysis, Crystal Reports, Geac, Holos, Hyperion Essbase, IBM WebSphere DataStage, Informatica, MicroStrategy, Oracle / Express / Oracle OLAP / Warehouse Builder, Outlooksoft, Panorama, Pentaho, PowerPlay, Proclarity, SAP Business Information Warehouse, Sybase IQ, TeraData, TM1, XLCubed, XML for Analysis
