The ideal candidate will have experience with .NET development (preferably C#), Object Oriented Design (OOD), design patterns, relational databases (preferably SQL Server), and an Analytical or Scientific background. Essential Job Functions CSC in support of the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center is seeking a Software Programmer/Analyst to work as part of a team integrating complex aviation software and relational databases for the purpose of modeling environmental effects due to aviation. We seek a motivated individual to help integrate a collection of existing software and database components that cover economic, aerodynamic, and geographic aspects of aviation's influence on the environment. The candidate should have experience in object oriented software development. Preferably that experience will have come from large-scale, distributed, or service oriented architecture efforts based on the Microsoft .NET framework that include relational database system components. General familiarity with commercial aviation operations is a significant plus.
