Software Engineering Manager
A large company with offices in Buchanan is looking for a Software Engineering Manager.
This individual will be responsible for software and monitoring and control system technical support involving the troubleshooting, integration, development, installation, modification, and fixes to software and related hardware for a wireless Siren System. The Siren System is comprised of 150-200 sirens controlled via three redundant electronic communications paths from multiple C2 stations. Responsibilities will include:Hands-on analysis of monitoring and control system, including the messaging and logic for monitoring and control, test and integration, and some software development including coding. Analysis includes detailed evaluations and improvements to the control and message logic, the protocols, the parameters and databases, and the interfaces to the network.Work with the Control Stations hardware and software, and related functionality and equipment, as well as software at repeater and siren sites, to insure high performance.Develop and install software upgrades, and perform software builds, integration and tests for the Siren System.Logically analyze and resolve problems.Write technical and operational reports.Qualified Candidates will have the following skills and experience:A BS in Engineering or Computer Science and eight years of related experience.Experience with hands-on software analysis, integration and testing.Some software development experience including design and build.Experience with software applications using SCADA or similar techniques for C2 or wireless control systems in industrial applications.Experience with computer networks.Experience with software applications in Windows operating systems and using C.Experience with wireless systems, siren systems, SCADA, and distributed C2 preferred.This is a full time, on-site position in Buchanan. Salary is commensurate with experience.
