Server Administration/Applications Developer2

Develops program specifications/detail design documents. Codes, tests and debugs applications programs. Has participated in the application design of systems, including use of analytical techniques. Works under the direction of a team leader, senior technical leader or analyst. Develops prototypes from functional specifications. Designs application sub-systems and small systems. Develops program specifications/detail design documents. Has participated in the development of functional specifications. Codes, tests, and debugs complex application programs. Assists users in testing, training, and preparation for operations. Demonstrates an understanding of object-oriented development tools and techniques, has worked on multiple platforms and/or with multiple methodologies.

 

Day-to-day work:
Provide day-to-day customer service across multiple high-profile customers. Provide open system support, server patching, server builds. Provide customer assistance during problem analysis. Respond to help desk tickets. Identify areas of improvement. Provide professional representation to the client and communication between clients and co-workers.

 

Education and experience:
MCSA and/or MCSE certification
Windows expertise – debugging/ troubleshooting
Veritas/Symantek backup knowledge
VmWare knowledge
Ability to upgrade, patch, build servers
Remedy experience
HP OpenView / SCOM understanding

 

Hours:  12:00 midnight - 8:30 AM
