Technical Requirements

Excellent written and oral communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, both orally and in writing.  Ability to communicate effectively with all technical disciplines.  An understanding knowledge of Mainframe, Client Server, & Distributed systems.  Must be able to Multi task, be a team player and be available at off hours for emergencies.  Weekend work for database and/or migration to production environments.  An understanding that this position is not a 9 – 5 position,  overtime is frequently required

Position Description

Migrate software application code from development into testing, production, certification, and education environments for Mainframe, Client Server, SAP, and Distributed.  Be able to document all code migration activities in applicable log books and/or CM tools.  Mentor Jr. level Migration Team Members in the day to day activities.  Generate “Postmortemâ€� Implementation Reports.  Provide training to migration team members, as needed.  Facilitate and coordinate bi-weekly team meeting/training, as needed.  Generate reports for senior level management.  Process, document, and report all systems infrastructure changes.  Ensure utilization of proper lifecycle methodology.  Attend work meetings, peer reviews, gateway reviews, audits, and CCB meetings, as needed.  Evaluate Turn-Over Packages.  Assist in developing and reviewing various documentation in support of Configuration Management.  Participate in special projects, as needed. Serve as point of contact (POC) or backup POC for implementation and coordination activities.  Provide 24/7 on-call Production Emergency Support; provide additional off hours support, as needed.  Provide Database/Maintenance weekend Implementation support.  Carry and maintain a customer-issued pager and laptop.

Educational Requirements

College degree preferred, but not required.
