Summary
As Senior Web Developer for this Internet company, you will lead XHTML builds, develop and troubleshoot JavaScript, perform internal database application support, maintain and enhance the CMS, assist with reviewing and testing of new technologies, daily evening publishing, and technical support of consumer site.
Responsibilities
• Lead the development and QA XHTML builds for internal and external projects
• Lead the development, evolution and management of technical web site standards
• Develop and troubleshoot JavaScript applications
• Assist in developing and maintain internal database applications
• Provide front-end troubleshooting support
• Assist in managing of web assets like graphics, XHTML templates, JavaScript, XSL & CSS
• Work with the team to maintain/enhance CMS publishing tools
• Keep up to date with new technologies
• Foster a collaborative working environment, and encourage new ideas from the team
Skills
• Extensive experience hand coding XHTML, XML, XSL to current web standards
• Expert knowledge of CSS and non-table based layouts
• Extensive experience with JavaScript and DOM manipulation
• Fluency in SQL, relational databases, ASP and ASP.Net
• Knowledge of Office applications (Word, Excel, Access)
• Knowledge of applications used in web development: authoring tools (Homesite,
Dreamweaver, etc.), graphics tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel DRAW, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Macintosh-, and UNIX-based operating systems, HTTP, FTP
and other networking protocols a plus
Tools
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Access
• Applications used in web development: Homesite, Dreamweaver, etc.
• Graphics tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel, DRAW, etc.
• Content Management Systems, especially Documentum
• Working knowledge of Macintosh, UNIX-based operating systems, HTTP, FTP, and other
networking protocols a plus
Education & Professional Experience
• BA, BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or similar area
• 3+ years professional experience developing business-class Web apps.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Professional demeanor with strong work ethic
• Highly responsible, dependable and detail oriented
Preferred Experience
• Experience managing web developers
• Experience collaborating with web designers
• Expertise in video, ad serving, metrics and search
