Senior Systems/Network Engineer ... Great Temp to Perm opportunity.

This position will reside in our client's Corporate Headquarters located in Annapolis, Maryland, supporting our Information Management (IM) Team within the Aviation Solutions Division.

The IM Team provides network and systems engineering support for the Aviation Solutions Division. This division provides communication products and services for commercial and business airline customers worldwide.

The Senior Systems/Network Engineer will be responsible for requirements analysis, developing systems and network design and topology, preparing operational scenarios and conducting performance and quality analysis. The Senior Systems/Network Engineer may also configure routers and develop router templates, prepare system acceptance test plans, conduct system level functional and regression testing, and provide overall customer support.

Required Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years overall systems and/or network engineering experience working with multi-component systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of project life cycle support, including requirements development, analysis, design, test, implementation and post customer support.
- Proven experience working in a team environment.
- Solid interpersonal and customer support skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Desired Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to design network solutions using current LAN/WAN technologies and routing protocols.
- Understanding of aviation communication protocols (ARINC 618, 620, 635, AVLC, and ATN).
- Knowledge of current IT technologies (Web Services, security, SOA)
- Experience providing on-call technical support.
- Experience testing large, multi-component systems.
- Experience supporting international development initiatives.
- Experience developing technical standards at the national and international level.
- Experience working with high availability systems.

Education/Certification Required: MS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
