A well established multimedia company based in Silicon Valley is growing their engineering team and looking for an experienced Software Engineer. Our client’s been in operation for over 9 years, and has current service outlets in over 27,000 locations with an impressive client list, including the largest retail companies in the nation.  The demand for their multi-media services has increased recently and driven the need to add more talented software engineers.  This is an opportunity for a Software Engineer experienced in video streaming, 3D media rendering, and/or video compression to make an impact on a small engineering team. As a member of the Systems Engineering team, you will be responsible for: • Maintaining and enhancing the automated processing system • Developing unique applications to manipulate video data for publishing on disc based media or as streaming video files. • Helping to develop innovative new products for user generated content Job Requirements: Â·  Excellent written and oral communication skills·  5+ years experience developing with C/C++·  Experience developing applications for Windows operating systems.o Must have experience with windows multi-threading o Must have experience with windows GDI graphics Nice to have experience: Â·  Experience at a bitstream level with one or more of the following compressed video stream  formats is plus : Mpeg 1, Mpeg 2, h.264·  Experience with DirectX or Directshow·  Experience with SQL·  Experience with blu-ray technologies·  Experience with C# and web services ***If you feel you are qualified for this position, please respond to Brandon Macchi at (408) 367-2569 or brandon.macchi@modisit.com ***  Company: Modis, Inc.
