Location: 50% travel in US and rest of time in Herndon, VA

Client: A rapidly expanding Information Assurance company headquartered in Herndon, VA

helping to ensure that their Civilian Government Agency clients manage their day-to-day security practices and evolve easily and effectively as changes in security postures occur.

The company defines success as reducing the paperwork burden for their clients and streamlining their security and compliance activities.

End Client: The federal government’s second largest department with a budget of $70 billion and 230,000 employees. This department has Cabinet-level status and runs the military veteran benefit system.

Clearance : A clearance is required.

Terms of Project: 6 month hourly contract (straight time for OT). Because the client is growing rapidly and acquiring a lot of Civilian Government IA business, contract-to-hire is a possibility.

Logistics: 5 day work week.

Rate: Negotiable

 

Required:

· BS degree.

· 8 years of increasing responsibilities in conducting C&A and documentation.

· Ability to update Microsoft Project.

· Ability to accomplish a peer review.

· Documented experience with C&A related NIST publications including System Security Plans, Contingency Plans, Configuration Management Plans, and Privacy Impact Assessments.

· Ability to work with a variety of operating systems and be able to interpret system and network diagrams.

 

Preferred:

· CISSP or other security certification.

 

Job Description

· Work in two person teams on a tight schedule performing C&A and creating and managing corresponding IA and security documentation.

· Interview and research network systems and major application systems.
