Senior SQL Developer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Works with development, quality assurance and design teams to deliver software products and product updates of outstanding quality.

* This position involves development of Web-enabled and client/server applications.



Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

* Four-year degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

* 8+ years working as a professional database and software developer using technologies such as SQL Server 2005/2008, Visual Studio, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, HTML, JQuery, JavaScript, AJAX and CSS.

* Excellent knowledge and skills with relational database management (RDBMS) systems and SQL. Experience with Transact-SQL (specifically for SQL 2005/2008). Good understanding of data modeling, Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and normalization. High skill level developing and maintaining stored procedures, views and user-defined functions.

* Experience debugging, maintaining, performance tuning and query optimizations for SQL 2005/2008 databases

* Education or experience in project accounting, financial accounting, payroll, inventory, purchasing or government contracting

* Understanding of Domain Driven Design a plus

* Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) or unit testing concepts utilizing MSTest or NUnit as testing frameworks

* Experience developing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services

* Proven track record of learning new products and technologies

* Experience with .Net Framework 3.5/4 in building web applications along with SQL CLR objects

* Previous involvement in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Agile/Scrum and iterative methodologies are a plus

* Strong analytical & problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot problems in a timely manner

* Experience with Team Foundation Server and continuous integration techniques a plus

* Experience with an ERP system is a plus

* Experience developing commercial applications a plus
