Senior Reporting/Business Intelligence Developer

IQNavigator is seeking a talented developer to aid in the growth of our Reporting/Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Oracle technologies and be an excellent communicator. This position requires the individual to be self-motivated, creative, tenacious and capable of consistently delivering in a fast paced environment. A professional attitude and the ability to work both independently and as a team are essential to success. There are no management responsibilities or travel.

Required technical skills:

· Oracle RDBMS (versions 8i & 9i, 10g helpful)

· PL/SQL (3+ years)

· Advanced database knowledge: tuning, set operations, Oracle indexes, and code deployment strategies

· Prior experience in data model design for OLTP systems; normalized and optimized designs

· Prior development experience with Oracle Reports (version 9.0.4 and higher) to facilitate end user reporting in PDF, Excel and HTML is required

· Experience using CVS as a version control system

· Experience in a UNIX environment; preferred SUN Solaris

· Ability to break down and understand complex sql is essential

Desired technical experience / skills:

· Exposure to SQL Types, Collections, Bulk Binding, MERGE/CASE statements, table partitioning, table functions and advanced analytical functions such as lag, lead, and report partitions

· Experience building data warehouse structures such as fact/dimension tables and using star transformations
