Senior QA Lead/Tester/Analyst - Long Term Contract

Senior Level QA Contract Position - Responsibilities
·Review functional and technical specifications to develop test plans and test cases.
·Perform manual testing and automated testing in an Agile environment
·Contribute and adhere to the overall Quality Assurance best practices, strategy and  methodology.
·Demonstrate ownership of all assigned tasks and projects, delivering status updates to management and stakeholders regularly.  Includes escalating issues and risks as appropriate.
Qualifications
·Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Ability to be proactive with all work assignments, identifying potential risks areas ahead of time to minimize impact  to deadlines.
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
· Flexible and willing to adjust to operational pressures, often at short-notice.
· Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
· Good problem solving and analytical skills, showing a strong attention to detail.
· Hard worker with a positive “can-doâ€� attitude.
· Ability to identify and raise issues and resolve them in a constructive manner.
· Effective troubleshooting and risk analysis skills.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other technical area is desired.
· 5-7 years of previous software development or quality assurance experience required.
· Demonstrated problem solving skills in a previous work environment 


· Technical aptitude.
· Strong PC skills (Access, Word, and Excel).
· Mercury tools experience.
· Ability to lead and mentor.
