Senior Project Manager / Application Development
CIBER, Inc. has an immediate need for a project manager with a minimum 12+ years application development experience required. The qualified candidate must have extensive experience with managing client expectations, implementing service improvement initiatives and communicating effectively with senior management and executive management. Prior experience managing strategic and/or cross-organizational projects and planning and tracking multiple disciplines or organizations and be adept to building consensus across organizational and functional lines. Must have proven experience in identifying risks, issues, and making effective decisions. Advanced degree or Project Mgmt. Certification (PMP) preferred. Position Responsibilities include: Managing the planning, organizing and implementation of complex strategic projects or programs (highly visible initiatives crossing multiple disciplines, businesses, and/or organizations). Taking projects from original concept through final implementation. Directs and controls all work performed in the framework of the project, monitors the critical path and implements appropriate corrective actions. Recognizes and communications broad implications of issues and risks; applies a disciplined decision model in making decisions. Managing client relations to ensure service expectations are developed and met. Assemble a matrixed project team, including identification and securing of recourses needed from other disciplines and/or organizations, assigns responsibilities based upon the project plan. May manage a capital budget associated with the initiative.
