Senior PC Installation Technician

Integration Technologies Group, Inc. desires to acquire a Senior Installation Technician for a 5 month desktop migration project working in a professional office environment. The project began on 7/23/08 and will last through about 12/18/08.
Full time (100%) travel is required. 100% travel expense coverage & per diem. Technician must possess a major credit card (not a check card) and a driver’s license. Must have 5+ years customer service experience and a “can do” attitude. Organizational skills, communication skills and punctuality are a must!
Excellent pay provided + $40 per day living allowance.
General Description:
Under the general direction and supervision of the Project Coordinator, uses technical expertise to complete equipment installation services at customer sites. Investigates reports of problems with hardware and peripherals. Represents our company to the customer with professionalism, confidence and assumes accountability for customer satisfaction with service.
Ensures compliance with quality of work and procedures. 100% travel. 100% paid travel + per diem. Salary determined by experience. Project based.
Relationships:
Interacts with other installation technicians, Project Coordinator, Project Manager and various site Points of Contact.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform data migrations and custom data migrations when required per instructions.
2. Image load when required per instructions
3. Unbox and transport PCs and laptops to defined location at site.
4. Set up new equipment and remove old equipment.
5. Installation of equipment.
6. Install RAM upgrades when required.
7. Remove hard drive and perform data wipe when required.
8. Perform EUD inventory collection when required.
9. Perform simple diagnostics on non-conforming products.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent GED, or equivalent training and work experience.
MCSE and/or A+ Certification and/or other certification equivalent required.
Ability to determine and establish priority and urgency quickly and accurately.
Requires competence in system configuration and hardware installation in a production type environment.
