Senior Network Systems Engineer

It has extensive network communications with the leading providers including Yipes, Cogent, Radianz and XO.  There are offices in NYC, Philadelphia and Chicago along with two datacenters in NYC with plans to open new datacenters both in the US and overseas in early 2009.

JDI seeks a Senior Network Engineer to manage its enterprise wide networks. Candidates should have excellent network management and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-paced demanding environment. They will be responsible for 2nd and 3rd level support and management of systems and junior networking staff. Experience with financial systems including market data is preferable but not required.

Duties:

Manage all LAN/WAN equipment, including Cisco 3800/2800/2600/3600 series access routers and 2950/3750/4000/6500 series switches

 

Manage and Troubleshoot multi-routing protocol environment, Including Route manipulation and redistribution of BGP, EIGRP,OSPF and RIPv2

 

Manage Cisco PIX/ASA firewalls and VPN Concentrators

 

Responsible for engineering and managing all WAN connections via, VPN, T1, DS3, and Ethernet

 

Design, implement and manage core network security policies via, PIX Firewall, Cisco ASA and IOS ACL’s

 

Coordinate connectivity for all client based access

 

Monitor overall health and performance of production network

 

Skills/Qualifications:

 

Certifications                : CCNP and/or CCIE preferred

Routing Protocols      :  BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, RIPv2

Understanding of      : HSRP, VTP, STP, VLANS, ACLs, Route-maps, prefix lists, Route redistribution, VACLS, Distribution lists, TCP/IP, IPSEC, NAT, SNMP, and OSI model
