Senior Network Support Engineer 3Description: Senior Network Support Engineer - Level 3Overview As a Network Engineer in this Software Company's Lab Network Engineering Group, you will get a chance to utilize your skills and gain new knowledge on a vast network that supports the research and development efforts of all company's Internet properties. Delivering over 100Gbps of content to the Internet daily, the network is one of the largest on the Internet. The Labs Engineering Team is responsible for all networking within Labs globally. Today this includes data-center sized labs in Redmond and San Jose, Ca and international labs in locations like Dublin, Shanghai, and Singapore. This team's responsibility is growing significantly and offers a challenging and technically rewarding environment.Senior Support Engineer working on a team with core hours of 8-6PM/flexible - Mon-Fri. Requirements: As a Senior Network Support Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for all aspects of engineering a given property's Lab network. You must have the experience and ability to perform the following tasks: Consultation - working with a PM to gather requirements, crafting a deployment schedule, working on design, procurement, deployment, configuration, fielding escalation, and handoffs to junior members of the team. Routing (OSPF & some BGP), switching, VLAN creation, HSRP, load-balancing (CSM, F5), troubleshooting and technical consultation. Work closely with broader Production teams to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
