Senior Network Engineer/Architect (Service Provider)
Alpheus Communications, a well established provider of TDM, Sonet, and DWDM telecom services to carrier and enterprise customers, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sr. Network Engineer to join our team for the development and evolution of our IP Core and Metro-Ethernet solutions. General Summary
The successful candidate will evaluate, recommend, certify, design, and implement IP core and Metro-Ethernet core and access solutions serving carrier and enterprise customers throughout Texas’ fastest growing markets. Duties and Responsibilities Design scalable Layer 2 and Layer 3 service provider IP core and access solutions Write and execute test plans Publish specifications and procedures for provisioning of new services and custom builds Manage significant network upgrade, migration, and evolution projects Provide 3rd level assistance in support of a 24x7 NOC Establishes best practice standards and policies surrounding deployment and administration of infrastructure Provide training and technical guidance to team members Oversee network capacity planning and network resource managementKnowledge and Skills
Experience working in Service Provider networks is strongly prefered. Candidate must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills, as well as excellent communication, decision-making and organizational skills. Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced customer driven environment.

Cisco CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent experience is preferred. Job Qualifications/ Requirements
A minimum of 5 years planning, designing, operating, maintaining and/or troubleshooting metro and/or ISP networks is required.
