Position Description:

 

Operates Openwave's internal data communications systems, including LANs and/or WANs. Plans, designs and implements networked systems, including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators and switches. Works on project implementation. Provides training and assists with proposal writing. Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons.

 

Job Requirements:

BS in Information Technology, Engineering, CS or equivalent experience.
CCIE certification attained or in progress with 8+ years relevant experience.
Experience with Cisco environments: switches, routers, and firewalls.
Knowledge of access lists and network routing of Cisco networks. Knowledge of TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
In-depth knowledge of Cisco IP Telephony (CIPT and Cisco Voiceover IP (CVOICE).
Experience with Cisco Call Manager version 3.x or later and Cisco Unity voice mail
Training and experience in the configuration and operation of Cisco IPCC Express
Understanding of SRST and configuration of dial-peers in VoIP gateways
Solid understanding of design, implementation and sustain requirements for voice, video and data networks
Strong customer service skills with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of UNIX (Sun Solaris) and Windows platforms.
Basic knowledge of Network Management tools such as CiscoWorks, HPOpenview, MRTG, Intermapper.
Project management skills and experience in leading cross-functional teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly organized, measures success by customer satisfaction and business results.
Experience with Netscreen, SSL VPN, Netscaler, Big IP, Alteon preferred.
