JOB SUMMARY: This position is working directly for LCG Systems in support of a government client. The position is for a Microsoft .NET developer who will work in a lead role as part of a team. The team is tasked with development of a SharePoint-based knowledge management environment using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server in a Microsoft hosting environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead development work in support of project goals Ensure effective and consistent systems architecture Manage the impact of system changes on project deliverables Create systems documentation deliverables Design technical solutions to accommodate new functionality requirements Work with the Project Manager to ensure project deliverables are met Engage effectively with the customerREQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience: Active Secret or the ability to obtain a security clearance is also required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience creating/delivering technical presentations to non-technical audience. Must have experience in development of SharePoint functionality including Web Parts. Experience integrating document management systems into Microsoft Office SharePoint. Knowledge of Visual Studio .NET 2003 or higher, ASP.NET 1.1 or higher, C#, Internet Information Server, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or higher Design, development, deployment and maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint Products & Technologies is strongly preferred. Knowledge of Windows architecture, deployment considerations, and structured development methodologies. Demonstrated ability to employ industry best practices toward requirements analysis, development process, documentation and SDLC is required. Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented design is required. Understanding of Section 508 compliance requirements and web-formatted graphics is required. Must be a hands-on web application developer versed in web technologies and tools (including HTML, HTTP, Javascript, CSS, browsers for Mac and PC) to create, design and develop web pages. Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Source Safe or Team Foundation Server a plus. Knowledge of XML web services a plus. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft’s business intelligence software (Business Scorecard Manager, Office PerformancePoint Server, SQL Analysis services) a plus. Must work well as a member of a team as well as independently Experienced in working with n-tier architecture based applications, writing user controls, and web controls. At least two years of Microsoft SQL Server Database development using stored procedures, functions and general database design in standard query language (SQL) is also required. 3-5 years of experience in object oriented application development using the Microsoft Visual Studio .Net development environment to develop web based intranet/extranet/internet types of applications.Education, Certifications/Licenses: MCSD or MCAD certification required.
