Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: IT/Software Development Senior .NET Developer - Contract2Hire TEKsystems is looking for a Senior .NET Developer for a 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity in Oak Brook, IL. Our client has an Enterprise Platform product called REP. The REP is made up of different components:1 – The Reference Data System (RDS) – came from an acquisition of a small company 10-15 years ago. This is a database of over 1 terabyte in size 1,000 tables and 1,500 – 2,000 high performance stored procedures. Each SP is a few hundred lines of code. This system houses all the clean data they provide to their clients. This is non-real time master data. This system pulls data from Reuters Data, Bloomberg Data and other data sources. There is a web front end in ASP.NET that has between 200-300 pages.2 – The Enterprise Integration Environment (EIE) – is an integration platform that our client has built from a windows based product that they have been receiving from a 3rd party software company. This platform is interoperable with Tibco and MQ right now and there are talks of making interoperable with BEA and other middleware technologies. This is what allows the linking of downstream applications/customer applications/environments to the RDS.The first joint release of RDS and EIE was earlier this year. The value proposition to our client's customers for the REP is that this will allow a single point of all reference data for an enterprise allowing them to eliminate the redundancy and inconsistency of their reference data. There is not a full scale product with the full functionality of REP in the market right now. The right candidate for the Senior .NET Developer position needs to understand C# coding, creating Web Services, building API’s to integrate solutions and integration tool kits. There will be some C++ coding for parsing files and multi-threading. The key here is a senior level .NET developer with strong C#, web services creation and OO background including multi-threading, inheritance, and polymorphism. Tibco, MQ and any other middleware tools are a plus.Strong background in SQL and T-SQL database development is also required. Financial/Investments experience is preferred but not 100% mandatory if the person is a great match technically. The team only has 1 person with this domain experience so that is why it is so high on their list as well.
