Senior Linux/ Unix Systems Administrator
Job DescriptionSenior RedHat Linux and UNIX system administrator supporting a 24*7 enterprise support organization. This position will consist of daily maintenance of RedHat Linux and Solaris UNIX systems. This will include but may not be limited to: 1. System monitoring 2. Backup maintenance 3. Patching 4. Security vulnerability remediation 5. Build and install of new systems 6. Decommission of old systems Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesBachelors degree or equivalent experience. RedHat Certified Technician 4+ Years administering RedHat Linux 2+ Years administering Solaris or equivalent UNIX experience Network connectivity (TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, etc) Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) connectivity Shell or perl scripting or equivalent Hardware maintenance for installing and replacing: hot swap power supplies and hard drives, expansion cards, fans -Preferred VMWare ESX hosting and virtual machine (VM) configuration and administration Database and application hosting Veritas Netbackup Legato Networker A+, Network+, Security+ Oracle Database and application hosting Cluster/High availability options
