Senior Enterprise Architect

Job Title: Sr. Enterprise Architect

Position Summary Provide technology architecture services support and consultation to a Government agency Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Architect and line office CIOs in the effective development and management of customer Enterprise Architecture (EA) programs.  Assist in efforts to improve alignment of Information Technology (IT) with agency business requirements and services. Support e-Government initiatives to improve effectiveness, efficiency and service delivery.  Research, evaluate and adopt new and emerging technologies based on customer business requirements. This position is in support of a Government Agency located in the Washington DC/MD area.

 

Qualification/Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge of operating systems, computing platforms and systems architectureExperience leading full life-cycle EA program support projects, including baseline, target, and transition plansExperience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and the development of SOA strategies and roadmapsExperience with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) Experience with Government Accountability Office (GAO) Enterprise Architecture Maturity Management Framework (EAMMF) modelExperience with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), the Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), and Zachman models

Other Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:Knowledge of federal government IT legislation and policy including the Clinger-Cohen Act, OMB Circular A-130, e-Government, and the President’s Management AgendaExperience with EA and IT Governance, Communications, and Program ManagementExperience with Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) v3

Education/Training/Experience: MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field and 10 years of experience.A minimum of 7 years of specialized experience in structured analysis, design methodologies, or architecture of large and complex systems.  Management of systems architects. Or PhD and 8 years of general experience, 6 years of specialized experience.  Or BS and 12 years of general experience, 9 years of specialized experience.
