Senior Engineer for an Online Gaming Company!

Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment's subsidiary, FireSky* is the new publisher behind SNAP games (social networks at play). FireSky is currently in production of its first game, Stargate Worlds, which is a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) based on the popular science fiction television series, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis.Working a collaborative team environment of engineers, designers, artists, and producers, Senior Engineers are responsible for designing, developing, and delivering optimal, maintainable, and reliable technical solutions for multiple game, game engine, and/or supporting tool systems.


Essential Functions of the Position:
•  Work in an environment of artists, designers and producers to ensure project timelines are meet and software development methodologies are followed
•  Able to self-manage tasks, time, bugs
•  Team-focused software development methodology
•  Capable of working on a large existing code base

Minimum Requirements (education, years of experience, specific skills, licenses, certifications):
•  Must have extensive knowledge and practical experience in a product driven environment.
•  Minimum 6 years programming experience
•  Must have one of the following: C++, Java or Python programming experience.
•  Experience in an iterative development environment.
•  B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Desirable Qualifications:
•  Experience with x86 assembly language
•  Multi-platform development experience.
•  Strong debugging skills
•  Experience in developing games.
