Sales/Retail/Business Development Relevant Work Experience: 7+ to 10 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Job SummaryWorking in a team environment, this Senior Buyer position will be responsible for the procurement of a variety of products and services, primarily in the technology category. This will include negotiating business terms with suppliers and the timely processing of purchase requisitions. Responsibilities• Negotiate and purchase equipment, supplies and services from qualified vendors including computer hardware and systems, software and telecommunication equipment and services. • Review contractual terms and conditions with suppliers and negotiate appropriate changes to business terms. • Working in collaboration with internal customers, evaluate vendor proposals and services to determine most desirable suppliers. • Execute and manage purchase order administration function consistent with company policies and procedures. • Expedite deliveries and resolve invoice discrepancies. • Manage the RFP process and solicitation of vendors. Qualifications• BS required with an accounting, finance, or business concentration. • At least 10 years experience in a Sr. Procurement role and 5 years of technology sourcing. • Employ strong negotiation skills in coordinating purchases based on optimum price, delivery, quality and service considerations. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent problem solving, customer service and organizational skills. • Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a fast paced environment. • Experience in contract review for business terms. • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders. • Ability to work with computerized purchasing systems and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
