Sr. Business Analyst – SEM position

Product Marketing 

Summary:

Performs sophisticated analysis, audits, and modeling using complex data sets from multiple sources to drive business decision-making.  Builds business cases and forecasts for product sales and other performance metrics. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1.  Extract, audit, and analyze complex data sets on a daily and monthly basis to identify trends and draw conclusions from database warehouse as well as other data sources

2.  Take a business problem or question, and design and implement the gathering of data as well as analysis needed to answer, pulling data from one or more internal and external data sources

3.  Analyzes SEM traffic, performance and cost metrics to optimize spend and ad product business rules to meet business objectives, calculate new bidding logic and/or CPC bids.

4.  Support Product managers in scheduled and ad hoc reporting and analysis.

5.  Work with internal data store in MS Access or other SQL database to create and program new queries to obtain data or analyze various models. 

Qualifications:

· 3 - 6 years in a marketing analysis or finance role, focused on data analysis, forecasting, and modeling

· Proficient in MS Office with expert Excel skills and strong knowledge of MS Access; SQL query knowledge desired

· Knowledge of Search Engine Marketing industry

· Quick-to-learn, self-starter with motivation to grow a business and advance own career

· Innate curiosity and desire to leverage massive amounts of data to improve business decision making

· Ability to communicate complex concepts using straightforward explanations customized to a disparate group of stakeholders

Education

BA or BS degree in business, mathematics, economics, or other related discipline; MBA preferred.
