Senior Applications Developer

Arhaus Furniture, a rapidly growing, fashion forward, high end home furnishings retailer with with 30+ locations nationwide is currently seeking a Senior Applications Developer to join our team. The Applications Developer will report directly to the CIO and work out of our corporate office located in Walton Hills. 

Responsibilities include the following: Design, develop, and enhance operational in-house and web-based systems as directed to better inform executives and managers, to increase associate productivity and to improve competitiveness.  Systems include: mailer/catalog database processing, customer registration, interface with room planning, special order cart, shop oriented search, enhanced store locator, interactive product viewer, customer recognition marketing, design services support.  Support the Arhaus merchandise management system to promptly resolve operational issues.  Work with system providers, Arhaus executives and associates to identify and enhance services.  (Currently Storis, Unidata, UniBasic, UniQuery, Storis EIS, Symbol WH Handheld, Wintegrate, Direct Connect.)

Current environment: SQL Server, Ironspeed, Visual Studio, C#, Visual Basic, ASP.net, FrontPage, IIS, MS Access, XP, Citrix, WTS, Exchange 2003, Cisco Routers/VPN Concentrators/Switches/VOIP, RS/6000, HP and MS Windows Servers,  Frame Relay, DSL and Cable Broadband.

RequirementsB.S. degree in Computer Science or related area. Expert level technical knowledge of all major technologies in use at Arhaus (or ability to learn new technologies as necessary. Significant experience successfully developing web-enabled, large scale systems in a retail environment. Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills; comfortable working in a team-based environment.
