Throughout our three-decade history, we've become the management system and information source to over 15,000 independent insurance agencies, 150,000 end-users, and 600 insurance carriers AMS Services Inc., a division of Vertafore, has an immediate full time opening for an experienced SW Product Architect. * Provides architectural and "big picture" oversight for development of new or enhanced products. Works with various product developers, product managers, and customer application experts to create software products containing required features and modifications

Responsibilities: Provides technical advice to other departments within the company. May be responsible for integrating components built by product developers. Works with various programming and product groups within the company to ensure that required features and modifications are included in the appropriate releases to support cross-product features. Designs software modules that will work together to produce desired product. Ensures completed modules provide all functionality described by application experts and meet performance guidelines. Provides high-level analysis and design reviews to other members and groups within the department to avoid duplication of efforts in solving the same application problem within different products Works with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into the company's product Evaluates new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company's products

Qualifications: Leadership experience in an Agile development environment required Good knowledge of software design and implementation. Excellent time management, communications, decision making, presentation and organization skills. Good technical knowledge of broad business areas. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering or computer science Experience Recommended: Typically requires four to five years of technical experience in software architecture and/or product development. Requires minimum of 2-3 years of experience with .Net, Visual Studio and C#. Prefer experience with .Net 2.0, Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server
