SR. NETWORK ENGINEER - TELECOMMUTE!

Job Description:

·  Install, configure, support, and maintain network equipment for a multi-protocol, multi-platform growing enterprise environment.

·  Implement and use network monitoring and discovery tools. Help identify and specify networking equipment

·  Implement and enforce access controls via firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention appliances, authentication devices, & penetration/vulnerability tools

·  Serve as liaison with equipment vendors and other third-party providers.

·  Maintain and update documentation and asset information regularly.

·  Research and recommend hardware and software upgrades.

·  Some weekend and off hours support may be necessary at certain times of the year.

Requirements:

·  7 yrs. prior experience as a systems administrator. (UNIX, Windows preferred)

·  10+ years networking experience.

·  BS or equivalent

·  Experience with routers, network switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN appliances, and sniffers.

·  Knowledge of switching technologies (vlans, vtp, multicast, fiber-channel, spanning-tree, and trunking).

·  Knowledge in applications/protocols (pop/imap, smtp, ftp, nfs, ssh, http/s, dns).

·  Knowledge of routing/transport protocols (IPv4, ospf, bgp, hsrp, and ipsec).

·  Knowledge of 3-tier web architectures.

·  SAN experience

·  Experience with Cisco IOS & BigIP.

·  Knowledge of packet tracing tools such as Wireshark, Snoop, TCPdump.

·  Experience with Disaster Recovery a plus

·  MS VISIO experience desirable
