SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (ASP.NET)

Great opportunity to join a growing company providing on-line ordering services. This dynamic organization is seeking a top notch candidate that is an independent thinker!

This company is seeking candidates that have longevity in their work history - They are NOT seeking anyone with a contractor mentality or a history of short term assignments.

SCOPE:
The Candidate must have solid experience in ASP.Net Development. The candidate will be working on Several Projects involving ASP.Net online ordering applications for the restaurant industry. This is mostly maintenance work, improving the integration with POS (point of sale) systems and adding support for new POS systems.

The candidate will also have to have very solid knowledge and experience with SQL Databases. There will be some performance tuning in the SQL Database.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
The candidate will develop and maintain interfaces between 3rd party hardware systems whose API spec may vary from a web service to a COM interface.

The Candidate will be responsible for interacting with different vendors, understanding their system and developing interfaces between the companies application and their API. Must have strong customer service skills.

All of the software and interfaces are written in .NET.

A huge bonus would be candidates that have worked on POS (point of sale) systems.

Required Skills:3+ years of job experience of solid development experience. 3+ years exp. with XML and Web Services.

3+ Yrs programming experience with a minimum of 3 yrs writing ASP.NET apps.

3+ Yrs experience with a solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server. This includes complicated SQL construction, Indexing, performance tuning, etc.

Strong understanding of Windows 2003 Server.

Ability to manage and deploy ASP.NET apps in a Windows 2003 Server farm.

Minimum of a CS degree from a ranked CS institution such as Ga Tech, Cornell, Duke, Michigan, etc.

SOFT SKILLS:
Tenacity, this position requires someone that likes a challenge and doesn’t give up easily.

Strong attention to detail and excellent customer focus.

MUST BE AN INDEPENDENT THINKER AND HAVE THE ABILITY TO WORK WITH MINIMAL SUPERVISION. MUST HAVE A STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL!
Desired Skills:
Exp. working on POS systems.
Non-Tech Skills:
Able to work in a small environment with minimal supervision. Ability to "think outside of the box".
