Here’s a unique and exciting opportunity for the right candidate! We need your expertise. Join our IT Unit maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing the network infrastructure for NYPD’s Pension Fund. The IT unit supports a Windows 2003 AD infrastructure with 70 servers housed at Headquarters and the Disaster Recovery Site. Our network infrastructure is Cisco LAN/WAN equipment, 10 GB between core and 1 GB to the desktop. The wide area network utilizes T1 and T3 lines. Besides general office automation software (email, Internet, Office Suite) we also run a large Xerox Document Management System. Support responsibility extends to the agency’s critical Pension Tracking system that utilizes a browser-based Oracle Forms front-end and an Oracle Database and Application Server backend.  The 10 person IT unit services over 150 users and 250 computers. This IT environment offers the candidate an opportunity to work with 32-bit and 64-bit based servers, biometric based authentication, RSA token based VPN, the latest Cisco security device offerings such as our ASA firewall and IPS system, multilayer anti-virus and malware defense systems, and the agency’s up and coming WEB based application.
If you have experience and skills in support of:
1Â Â Â Â Â Â Â HP Proliant Servers and Dell computers;
2Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Cisco Network Devices (Router, Switch, ASA Firewall, IPS, VPN, MARS);
3Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Over a 300 node Windows 2003 AD Network;
4Â Â Â Â Â Â Â LAN / WAN, TCP/IP;
5Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Other software: (McAfee ePO, RSA SecurID, Xerox Docushare, SurfControl, Veritas Backup, SUS );Â and have MCSE/MCSA 2000/2003 and CCNA certifications, you have what it takes for this assignment.
