SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER

An exciting startup company in Silicon Valley require a Senior Network Engineer to join their fast growing team.

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineers that can thrive in a challenging fast pace startup environment. The ideal candidate will implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain our national network. This person will additionally be comfortable interfacing with customers.

Responsibilities:



• Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipments and related services

• Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks

• Maintain and supports company’s WAN environment

• Daily maintenance and problem resolution, operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration

• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation



Required Qualifications:

Current Cisco CCIE (CCNA or CCNP)



Expert in Cisco Network switches



Cisco routers



Cisco VPN



Dell server platforms



Windows Server 2000/2003 Active Directory



Experience with NetApp Storage a plus



Desktop and laptop installation and problem resolution in a Windows XP environment



Previous responsibility for providing customer support



Demonstrable level of competence including:



A thorough understanding of Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking



A practical level of experience implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including BGP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.



Working knowledge of common network monitoring and security utilities



3+ years of network administration mandatory



Ability to prioritize and multitask



Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills



Excellent customer presentation skills



Bachelor’s degree (preferably engineering related)



Ability to lift, carry, and move all components of PC workstations, servers,



Network equipments, peripherals, and other ancillary equipments

Ability to travel 10% of the time
