Job Category:SCA Discipline Primary Location:USA-CA: CALIFORNIA-NORCOSchedule:Full-time Job Type:Standard Employee Status:RegularJob Posting: 2008-09-05Description: SCA Electronics Technician Maintenance III - Department 30/31 Naval Information Systems Center is actively searching for an SCA Electronics Technician Maintenance III. This is a regular part-time position to help support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division, at Norco, CA. In this position the candidate will maintain LAN architecture; maintain Windows 2000/2003 servers; create and maintain system documentation; install and maintain domain servers for availability; monitor and maintain Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure; insure systems meet security requirements; maintain/configure Cisco switches and firewall, and provide desktop support. Two years of experience with desktop support, LAN architecture and Network Security. Two years experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Cisco PIX Firewall. Associate certificate (2 yrs. college) or equivalent experience is required. Requires MCSA and Security+ for IAT II certification in accordance with DoD 8570. Must be able to install new systems, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in written forms. Candidate must be able to sit/stand for long periods and have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as much as 25 percent of the time. Must be a U. S. Citizen and able to acquire a secret security clearance. Work Environment: This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of the job.
