Clarkston’s SAP Functional Consultants assist clients to configure and implement their respective SAP systems and serve as senior business systems consultants on client engagements. They perform the role of senior business management consultants to help review the client’s current business processes and computer systems, define the new business processes to be implemented, configure the SAP system to support the new business processes, and assist with the implementation of the SAP system. In particular, the functional knowledge or areas of SAP expertise includes strong knowledge of at least two of the core modules such as the: Financials (FI), Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP) or Sales and Distribution (SD).
Key Responsibilities:
· Work with client staff and end-users to determine the functional requirements for the system within the specified modules of SAP.
· Configure the system to meet the requirements.
· Manage and oversee the design and development of customized reports, utilizing ABAP technical resources and other tools (e.g., report writer) functionality within SAP.
· Design and development of interfaces and conversion programs to/from existing legacy systems
· Provide general technical support in business systems analysis for our clients and conduct SAP training as required for client personnel.
· Provide leadership and guidance to other junior systems analysts and client personnel assigned to the projects.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Math, Management Information Systems, or equivalent discipline required
· A minimum of five (5) years of prior SAP consulting or equivalent industry experience
· Strong understanding of systems development lifecycle and system implementation methodologies
· Successfully completed at least two full life cycle implementations
· Functional configuration experience in SAP BW
Preferred Qualifications:
· Seven to ten years of prior SAP consulting or equivalent industry experience
· Previous experience in the Consumer Products of Life Sciences verticals
· Functional configuration experience in SAP Basis
Professional Skill Requirements:
· Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
· Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
· Successful experience collaborating with clients to achieve results within a timely manner
· Achievement oriented and entrepreneurial
· Ability to travel extensively
