Reviews support provided by less-experienced personnel for accuracy and completeness. Serves as an escalation point for technical issues and resolution. Provides consulting and guidance in requirements definition, specification, design, development, and integration of systems and network management on complex projects to ensure services adhere to client specifications. Investigates, resolves and reviews the work of less experienced personnel on escalated issues within complex distributed systems environments and ensures provision of adequate technical and personnel resources are devoted to solutions. Leads cross-functional teams in analyzing, designing, testing, integrating, maintaining, and solving complex distributed computing issues, including integrating hardware and software, on larger projects. Reviews solutions for appropriateness and accuracy. Establishes principles, directions, and standards related to distributed system environments to meet client and company needs. Communicates, maintains, and enforces technology standards and solutions. Staffs projects with appropriate personnel resources. Organizes and motivates project team members for one or more projects. Ensures communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments, and objectives. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Oversees maintenance and supply of appropriate documentation for clients. Reviews and captures architecture plans for complex environments. Oversees the gathering of information used to create documentation, and suggest revisions as appropriate. Interacts with client and other appropriate personnel to determine adequacy and efficiency configuration management, inventory management, and trouble management support provided by less experienced personnel on servers or networks. Oversees and supports periodic maintenance and upgrades of environments. Leads projects with moderate level risks, identifies risks and consequences of error on projects; determines cost reduction opportunities to safeguard company and client's interests. Manages client, company, and project team expectations for agreed upon project performance standards by calculating and providing project metrics. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred Nine or more years of related experience Experience working with computer server hardware, operating systems, and specific applications within distributed systems environments Experience working with the client's vision, business objectives and critical success factors Experience working with systems management frameworks, protocols, and tools Experience working with appropriate software and hardware programs Other Qualifications Skilled in integrating distributed computing hardware and software systems Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel Good creative thinking and problem solving skills for designing, developing, and testing distributed computing systems Good communication skills to interact with clients, management, and team members Good interpersonal skills to interact with clients, senior level personnel, team members, and support staff Ability to lead and work in a team environment Ability to work independently without direct supervision Willingness to travel Remote Work Location Authorized:No Relocation Assistance:Not AvailableClearance Level:Secret Create Success
