We are seeking an SDET w/Ruby!

 

Summary:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze patterns of defects and bug metrics

• Architect, design and develop stress solutions and test the scalability and performance

• Cost, schedule, and prioritize your work and make appropriate trade-off decisions

• Create test specifications and test cases

• Debug existing code and find the root causes of bugs and fix them

• Design, build, and manage automated quality checks within a build system and tools

• Ensure acceptance and release criteria for web services and electronic gaming device are met

• Help design and clarify how features should work to eliminate ambiguous requirements

• Identify risks and dependencies within the schedule and cross-group feature areas

• Participate in design, code, and security reviews

• Proactively identify and resolve customer/partner and quality issues

• Write and employ custom test automation to help ensure timely and broad test coverage

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-5 years of directly related current work experience in Web-based product testing required

• Adobe Flash ActionScript experience would be extremely valuable but isn’t necessary

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline is preferred

• Demonstrated ability to work well independently, identify and manage dependencies, resolve issues, and ship product on time is required

• Experience working with content management systems is preferred

• Experience in performance, scalability and the security testing of web and SQL services preferred

• Experience with one or more test harnesses/frameworks and version control systems is required

• Experience with the Scrum software development methodology is preferred

• Prior experience with a gaming company is desirable

• Proficiency with software testing fundamentals, ad-hoc testing, and white-box testing is required

• Track record of shipping quality software on time required

Demonstrated technical experience and a strong understanding of the majority of the following technologies and platforms is required:
