About the Opportunity:

 

Are you a go to person for technology support? Then we want you to apply with us for the RESCUECOM Remote Support Technician.  You will work at our corporate headquarters in Syracuse, New York, assisting customers with technical support over the phone and the Internet.  RESCUECOM offers a technical work environment with above industry average income potential, all while you get hands on experience with all types of technology. 

 

RESCUECOM Remote Support technicians will use their technical expertise, customer service ability and sales tools we supply to provide flawless computer support to our customers.

Requirements:

 

· Minimum 5 years experience working in IT as a solution provider.

· Extensive knowledge of laptop and PC hardware and design.

· Expert problem solver and solution finder!

· Total commitment to customer satisfaction and service.

· Ability to translate computer talk into plain English for the end user.

· Intimate familiarity with wireless and wired networking, ISP’s, and networking concepts.

· Complete knowledge of the Microsoft Windows and Office products, from 95 through Vista and 2008.

· Hands on experience removing viruses and spyware using various tools.

· Willingness to take on any challenge big or small.

· Great “team� personality and ability to communicate effectively!

· Available to work after hours, weekends, and as required.


Qualifications Preferred:

· College degree and / or equivalent technical certifications.

· Expert in system and network design for businesses both small and large.

· Complete Microsoft Windows server design, installation and maintenance experience.

· Cabling and Patch panel knowledge.

· Web design and programming ability.

· Extensive hands on work with network security and disaster recovery.
