This person in this role will maintain a working prototype production environment encompassing all of the components of the Unisys RTI solution portfolio, with a focus on networks. Additionally, this environment must mimic all of the typical processes and procedures (backup, recovery, formal change management, resource allocation, upgrades, high availability, patching, etc) and workloads (batch processing, RDBMS, middleware, application front ends, etc) found in our customers environments.Day to Day WorkThis person will become a hands-on expert in utilizing this technology in real client production environments. This person will also become a hands-on expert in how our solutions integrate with other non-Unisys offerings within the RTI marketplace. This includes but is not limited to prototype support (beyond POCs) of newly proposed, and creative client solutions. The candidate must be IT Alumni with real production Data Center experience. This candidate must build and maintain a strong, positive working relationship with other internal Unisys groups such as engineering and a global network of region based sales support teams.QualificationsMust have:· 10+ Years administration/architecture experience supporting large scale production environments with hands on experience configuring and maintaining:o Servers that support business critical applications and functionso Blade serverso Large scale or complex LAN and WAN environmentso Large scale or complex Fiber Channel and/or iSCSI Storage Area Networks o a structured, process driven operations environment (i.e. ITIL, Formal Change management, etc)o Virtualization technologies· Experience with cross organization team building · Experience with technical writing · Deep technical knowledge in the following areaso 2 of the following 3: Windows, UNIX (AIX, HP-UX, Solaris), Linux o SAN Architecture/Administrationo LAN & WAN Architecture/Management· Experience administering virtualization technologies in LAN/WAN, plus either Systems &/or Storage.
