DESCRIPTION

The selected consultant will augment the efforts of our client’s team of programmer/analysts and technical support specialists in support of the application development and maintenance environments for their web based system.  The system was built using the Curam Software Framework. 

 

SCOPE

Install, configure, administrate, maintain, backup and trouble shoot the Rational Tool Suite including ClearCase, ClearQuest, Test Manager, Robot, SoDA, Project Console, and Requisite Pro.

 

Administer Rational Suite of products as requested by the Project Manager.  All work is to be documented and placed under version control in the ClearCase documentation VOB.

 

Perform programming development and testing activities as assigned by the Client’s staff.

 

Provide structured system and technical IT training documentation to facilitate the development of IT’s ability to maintain the application.

 

Mentor and support the Development Team and User Acceptance Team in use of ClearQuest, ClearCase, Requisite Pro, Test Manager, Robot, SoDA, and Project Console.

 

Assist the User Acceptance Team in the documentation and repair of existing Robot Scripts and data pools.

 

Analyze the backup mechanisms for Requisite pro, Test Manager, Manual Tester, Robot, and Project Console and present written recommendations for review and implementation.

 

Repair existing Project Console reports and develop new ones as requested by the Project Manager.

 

Provide verbal mentoring and written transfer of knowledge to the appropriate staff as instructed by the Project Manager

 

DELIVERABLES

Provide:

System and Training documentation.

Training and mentoring to appropriate staff as instructed by the Project Manager.

A work plan depicting activities and tasks planned to be undertaken.

Repaired corrected Project Console reports

New Project Console reports

Repaired corrected UAT Robot Scripts and test data pools

New UAT Robot Scripts and test data pools

Documentation under version control in the ClearCase documentation VOB

A backup plan for content and data contained in all Rational Suite products.  

 

SKILLS NEEDED

4 + years experience in Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, and Requisite Pro

2 + years experience in Rational TestManager and Robot

Certification as Administrator in Rational ClearCase for Windows and UCM Essentials

Certification as Administrator for Rational ClearQuest for Windows

Certification as Configuration Management Subject Matter Expert

4 + years Programming experience in VBScript, VBA, and PERL

Curam experience is a plus
