QA Test Leads II (tester) & III We are looking for QA Test Leads II (tester) & III.  This is a full-time position in Des Moines, IA. PURPOSE OF JOB Under general direction, carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Performs and leads tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.  May create test data for applications.  Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Performs complex workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements.    MAJOR FUNCTIONS OF JOB  Coordinating and leading QA test efforts independently on assigned testing projects. Develops Master Test Plan or test plans for individual test levels within individual projects. This includes writing of the test strategy that documents the testing approach used by the QA project team including: number/type of test cycles required, review requirement’s, existing test scripts to use/update, new test scripts to write, environment requirements, training needs, etc. Ability to facilitate test related meetings Make recommendations or may implement testing workflow or QA system improvements. Ability to mentor less experienced team members on QA methodology (example, test case design, approaches to testing, etc) Analyzing functional specifications and turning them into test scripts for complex pieces of functionality. Looks for completeness, testability and provides test work estimates. Working with Project Director and Project Manager to troubleshoot/resolve defects.  QUALIFICATIONS A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 5 or more years of experience working in a formal software test environment with at least 1+ years working independently as lead, or in a leadership role. In addition the following skills are required. This position requires strong analytical, math and problem solving skills, the ability to document detailed and specific information; the proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and meet deadlines; and requires strong written and verbal communication skills.  Initiative, planning/organizing and strong interpersonal skills.  Experience coordinating the testing efforts across entire development cycle. Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills Solid understanding of testing methodology and the continuous software development cycle Familiarity with mainframe and web environments Team player with the ability to interact with all personalities Ability to work overtime during infrequent peak periods The following knowledge/skills are preferred.Previous project management experience, leading medium to large scope projects through a project lifecycle. Experience with Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Microsoft Project, DB2 Query Tools and Windows XP is preferred.
